About
I am a fine art student currently studying at Loughborough University. I am in my final year preparing for my degree show in June 2019. I have an interest in 3D work and have spent the past 4 years developing my skills as a sculptor.
My work has developed to question the relationship between rationality and instinct and how they are perceived both personally and by my audience.
Work Experiance
Studio Assistant Nacho Carbonell January- June 2018

-
I am one of 5 interns working for Artist Nacho Carbonell.
-
I help to produce his work either for commissions or to be ready for exhibitions
-
I have been experimenting with new materials such as wax, bronze and glass to develop new products and art work for Nacho Carbonell.
-
I have learnt how to work as part of a team to produce high quality work.
-
The studio is international so it has shown me how important clear instructions are; I have learnt how to teach new methods to other members of the team.
Fine Art Publishing Assistant Pratt Contemporary Art November- December 2017

-
Pratt contemporary is a fine art printing and publishing studio.
-
I worked in an office alongside the two company founders.
-
My main role in the company was to help remake their website.
-
I had to search through their archives to find relevant photos and news articles that best exhibit the work of the artists that Pratt Contemporary Art represent.
-
My computer skills were developed whilst working for Pratt contemporary, the web designing aspect made me aware of the importance of good publicity and how to be selective in what work is shown.
Concept designer/ Artist Magnetic Asia September- November 2017

-
I was an intern for the Art department of Magnetic Asia, an events organising company in Hong Kong.
-
The main event I worked on is Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s Largest Music and Arts festival, and considered one of Asia’s top experiential festivals. The three day event features a strong line up of international and local musicians, artists, food vendors, filmmakers, theatre performers, children’s entertainers, independent crafters and much more.
-
My role included, communicating with all of the international performing artists, organising decorations for the festival site and designing, creating and managing a pop up stage for marketing around the city before the festival and during the festival.
-
Working here developed my understanding of event production, specifically developing my organisation and budgeting abilities.
-
I learnt the importance of effective communication and marketing.
-
Increased my awareness of the impact of art and design at large events.
